~ Be self-aware and take care of yourself

Be sure to meet your personal needs and take care of yourself. Rest when you need to rest , eat when you need to eat, and play when you need to play.

Hippos are very self-aware and pay attention to their own needs. As a species they are mostly on their own to look after themselves with humans as their primary predator of adult hippos.

~ Be comfortable where you are

Hippos don’t migrate or wander far from their water or food source, being content to stay where they are if their needs are met.

Even if you don’t have everything you want right now, or live in what seems like the perfect place, try to find gratitude in knowing your immediate needs are being met and make it as comfortable as possible.

~ You are  provided for

It’s not always easy to see that your needs are met because your wants aren’t being met, or rather your preferences aren’t being met.

Hippos know there will be water, there will be grass, even if during a draught they have to leave their usual source for it – eventually they will find it.

Have faith in knowing your necessities are taken care of.

~ Important Message and Ramblings from  Hippo

We are very self-aware. And we pay attention to the details of everything we need. Not in grooming, or our appearances, but that we recognize our needs, and we take care of ourselves and teach each other how to take care of themselves.

I’m talking about personal needs, and taking care of yourself. Because there’s no one else that’s going to look out for you. So we look out for ourselves, You should look out for yourself.

We don’t have conflicts with very many animals and we don’t really have alliances. We have just ourselves, so we make sure to take care of ourselves.

We coexist with the crocodiles. We eat different things. And we support each other, not directly but by the tiny ecosystems we each create. Our waste ultimately helps them and their discards ultimately help us. And while sometimes they might try for one of the babies, they pretty much know not to bother because they will simply get crushed. Only the dumb ones try it.

People need to learn to be more self aware and self reliant and to pay attention to their needs. We have the benefit of not having to hunt for our food, which means we eat, sleep and play. And it should be that way for you humans too.

~ Follow your intuition

Or instinct, as we know it. We get moving as part of our cycle, we move different places for different reasons, but it all comes from a pull to move. It’s unexplainable, just like your intuition, you don’t know why you know something or how you do, and it might make no sense to think about it logically, but you should follow it anyway. Eventually you find out it was right on.

Listen to it and follow the pull.

~ Have faith and trust.

All is going to be provided for. Follow your intuition knowing it is leading you to the right place that you need be, and at the right time.

We never question whether or not we’ll be provided for once we reach the next destination, but we are. Because we have trust that we are being led to a place that will be better for our current needs and that it will all work out. And it does.

~ Respect and love your community

Show love and help everyone. Not just your family, not just your species, but your extended family. Understand that there are ones that have skills that you don’t that will benefit you; and you have skills that will benefit them. Do what you’re good at and make full use of it.

When you have faith and trust in others you know they are using their full skills. They can depend on you and you can depend on them. We rely on the zebras and giraffes to help our community through their eyesight, and we help the community through our fantastic sense of smell. We need each other.

~ Important Message and Ramblings from Wildebeest

You know, we don’t plan things out here. We allow things to happen naturally. We accept what happens and we move on.

The livelihood of the world, it’s dependent on the humans because all of us animals have been doing the same thing for thousands of years before the humans started interfering. And things have changed significantly in the last 50 years. We’re still OK. But look out for yourselves.

If you have to, come visit us, if that’s how you think you need to connect to reconnect and come sit with us. Allow yourself to be immersed in the connection of faith of trust. That happens out here on the plains. Life is good, you know. Life takes care of you.

You are not separate from the overall life. We’re all one and we are impacted when you bring your crazy ideas out here to sit with us. But it’s OK if you’re open to learning; open to something new. We’d love to help you learn something new because it impacts us all.

And  we don’t worry, we don’t even think about the future, because there’s no need to.

We feel your crazy energy. And we feel like something’s going on. So leave your crazy energy at home and come and just sit. Sit in this life. And then you can learn to just sit in this life at home. You don’t have to come here every time. We are all pulled into something new. Our internal pull, your internal pull. Pay attention to your internal pull.

~ Don’t be alone; stay in community

The Impala know that community is safer and they stay together. When a predator comes in and starts to chase they spread different ways in order to confuse the predator. Even with the great leaping that they do, they wouldn’t be able to do this if they were alone.

Same is true for us physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. When we are hit with bad news -it’s the support or distraction of our community carries us through.

~ Always be aware

Awareness is not only about safety, it’s also about exploration and finding new things. Being aware is how we help welcome magical moments into our lives. If you’re stuck in a routine and always do the same thing at the same time going the same way, you will not have the opportunity to allow a new possibility into your life.

Gaze in wonder at your surroundings at any given time and be aware of what you usually overlook.

~ Be ready to take quick action, but don’t let it worry you

Being prepared is not the same as being worried or being a pessimist, it’s simply being aware of what might happen and preparing for a better outcome. This can help in so many areas of your life, to always know what the next action is in the event something undesirable happens. It helps reduce worry and anxiety to know that you will live beyond the action into the plan that you have set forth.

~ Don’t be too self-centered or so self-absorbed

Humans are not meant to be solo beings. We thrive in community. It’s good to pay attention to your own needs but it’s equally important to know the needs of those around you.

When one Impala is at risk every Impala leaps, this is how the community survives

~ Important Message and Ramblings from Impala

Get out of your self-absorption. Others depend on you -so allow yourself to be supported by others and to support others. Stop worrying about things that aren’t even happening. Stop planting ideas in your head about what something might be like because you don’t know.  You just don’t know what is going to happen. When you live here in the moment as we do – and we know things go on, we know there are predators, but we don’t worry, everything works out for the best. This does not mean everyone lives and no one gets sick. It doesn’t mean we don’t look longer for food or water sometimes, but it means in the big scheme of things we all work out. We are not here for our physical form. The physical form is here for the sake of the entire species collective, and we only inhabit the physical form for a short time. The soul comes in, evolves, and then leaves: the body exists for the continuation of the species.

Humans need to understand how to separate your soul ‘s evolution from your species evolution. Your body is temporary but it’s necessary for your soul’s evolution and for the species collective. For the soul’s evolution, it doesn’t matter what happens to the body. For the species evolution, the individual body doesn’t matter but does contribute to the collective.

We impalas, we animals, we are spiritual beings just like every other living being.
